Nokia rolls out 3G-enabled 2730 classic phone

Claiming to be the company’s most affordable 3G device in India, the phone sports a compact and sleek fabrication. Loaded with a host of innovative features, it claims to enhance the internet experience to the hilt. The phone is additionally equipped with a wide array of Nokia services such as Ovi Mail, Nokia Messaging and Nokia Life Tools. The browsing capabilities of the phone should enable users to share and manage their life conveniently.

As the market leader, our investment into different technologies has always been aimed at being future ready and today with the launch of Nokia 2730 classic we have a portfolio of over 20 3G enabled handsets in the market.” Vineet Taneja, Director Marketing Nokia India mentioned. “We firmly believe that 3G technologies and future enhancements will offer the most expeditious and cost-effective means of providing mobile internet access to the mass market.”
The handset is just about 109.6 x 46.9 x 14.4 in dimensions and is offered in black and dark magenta colors. It weighs just about 87.7g. In addition to this, the phone is packed with a battery that offers a maximum of 7.4 hours talktime and 16.5 days standby time. 3G support along with the integrated Opera mini browser should further allow quicker search and browsing.
Some other attributes of the phone are Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, Stereo FM radio, 1000 entry capacity phonebook, calculator, integrated handsfree speaker, expense manager and support for MMS, Email, Flash message and Audio message. The Big Key mat is also easy to use.
The Nokia 2730 classic with 3G support is priced at just Rs. 4,499.
