8MP Nokia C7 starts shipping
Nokia was recently in news for enriching the Ovi experience and crafting the E7, C7 and C6 handsets. The company has just announced that its new C7 smartphone has begun shipping to customers across the globe.
Encased in a stainless steel casing, the sleek handset adorns a 3.5-inch full-touch AMOLED display which allows users to seamlessly surf the Web and more. Owners can update their Facebook, start tweeting and access to their e-mail accounts, including Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail and Windows Live Hotmail right through their homescreen.
“The Nokia C7 is our second smartphone based on the new version of Symbian to hit the market. Designed specifically with the style-conscious consumer in mind, the Nokia C7 also brings excellent social networking abilities, making it perfect for people who want to check-in and stay up to date,” remarked Jo Harlow, head of smartphones at Nokia.
Designed to be a social-networking centric device, the 8 megapixel Nokia C7 handset enables access to a host of apps, games, videos, and web and location-based services through the Ovi Store. Based on the latest Symbian platform, this device follows the footsteps of the N8 running on the same OS.
The Nokia C7 smartphone carries an estimated price tag of €335 (approx Rs. 20,737), excluding applicable taxes or subsidies. However, the pricing and availability of the device may vary for different markets and operators.
