Cricket rolls out new Samsung Stunt mobile phone

Mobile enthusiasts residing in the United States can expect to be bowled over by a new affordable offering. Cricket Communications, Inc along with Samsung Telecommunications America has joined forces to proffer the Samsung Stunt. Also known as the SCH-R100, the stylish Samsung Stunt is noted to be a sleek bar mobile phone.
The Samsung Stunt already includes Mobile Web, Bluetooth, Games & Apps, speakerphone, long battery life and voice commands. Besides these offerings, the handset also features Crickets MyBackup which allows users to protect all their mobile contacts without the need of attaching any data cables. They can do this through a link supplied within the contact list itself.
“The Samsung Stunt provides a slender, smart design and introduces Bluetooth to our most affordable tier of devices. And with its friendly user interface, it offers a sophisticated experience while remaining easy to use,” explained Matt Stoiber, vice president and general manager of devices for Cricket.
The company reveals that this product is a sophisticated evolution of the Samsung SCH-R211. The Stunt mobile sports a large and clear 128 x 160 color display as well as a thinner appearance when pitted against its predecessor. Customers can easily slip the phone into their pockets or handbags as the device weighs just 2.61oz and measures 4.22” x 1.73” x .54”.
The Samsung Stunt can be purchased from Cricket retail stores and dealers as well as from the carrier’s official website for a price of $99.99 (approx. Rs.4,542).
