Samsung unveils full touchscreen Monte handset

Samsung Monte Samsung has unboxed its newest offering for the phone arena in the form of the Samsung Monte (model numberS5620), a full touchscreen device for style icons. Sporting a sophisticated and glossy look, the handset packs in an array of multimedia functions with a sleek and organic design.

Offering style and performance of a high-end handset at a lower price point, the phone shows off a stunning design and an intuitive TouchWiz 2.0 Plus User Interface. With a suite of native social networking, the Monte is all set to enthrall social networking butterflies with applications such as Facebook and MySpace. In addition, it also includes advanced Twitter, Bebo Widgets and multi-IM capability. Users can also take advantage of full browsing and accelerometer sensor.

This feature-packed, stylish Monte is equipped with a 3-inch WQVGA LCD screen, 16:9 landscape viewing, 3.2-megapixel camera and several value-added functions. The phone also comes with support for Smart Unlock and One finger zoom.

The Monte is GPS supported by Google Latitude alongside geo-tagging. The optional anytime, anywhere Wi-Fi connectivity, Exchange ActiveSync for access to Outlook email accounts, and Google Sync further add to the convenience. Samsung exhibits the phone at Mobile World Congress 2010.
