Some time back we reported about the Mobiado handset resting in the lap of luxury. Mobile phone users may now open their arms wide in welcome of Tag Heuer’s plush Merediist GMT handset that keeps users ticking to time wherever they may be traveling.

The phone is dressed with two displays out of which the OLED screen fitted at the top exhibits resolutions of 96 x 16p. The TFT screen on the front panel measures 1.9” and renders 240 x 320p resolutions apart from showing off 260k colors.

The built-in 2MP digital camera captures images and videos in 1,200 x 1,600p resolution. It supports images in JPEG, GIF and BMP formats. Users are offered 2GB of internal storage capacity. The device supports USB 1.0 for transferring multimedia content on other gadgets.

Additionally, the device comes with an earpiece and an in-built loudspeaker for hands-free music playback. Music enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite MP3, AAC and AAC song tracks on the device. The phone weighs about 155g and its dimensions amount to 112mm x 46mm x 15.5mm.

The network coverage of the Merediist spreads over GPRS and quad-band GSM. Apart from offering Bluetooth capabilities, the gadget integrates a modem and offers a single I/O connector to allow charging, transferring data and connection to a wired stereo headset. It comes with a charger, a Bluetooth headset, batteries as well as a wired headset.

Further, users can store up to 1000 phonebook contacts and access client e-mail. The phone supports WAP 2.0 for browsing and permits PC sync functionality via USB 1.0. It is powered by a long lasting 950mAh Li-ion battery offering 28 days of standby time and about 7 hours of talk time.

The 316L stainless steel exterior of the handset is coated with Titanium carbide apart from being fitted with a back-lit mechanical stainless steel keypad. Both the displays flaunt sapphire crystal glass of 60.5 carats. The back is designed with high quality calfskin leather, rubber and original alligator back plates. It also shows off the Tag Heuer multi-function switch.

The handset can be purchased through the company’s authorized dealers. It comes with a two-year customer warranty, while the accessories that come bundled with the phone are backed by a one-year warranty.
