O2 TG01 with Nimbuzz comes to Germany
O2 is all set to launch the Toshiba TG01 in Germany. This phone will hit the German market by mid June. O2 will offer the phone with pre-installed Nimbuzz social messaging client. The Toshiba TG01 has already made its way into the Japanese and Spanish markets.
The Nimbuzz can be accessed via a central icon on the home screen of the phone. This fast, reliable and easy-to-use application perfectly complements the working of the device. The lifestyle communication features of the TG01 are a result of the combined efforts of the Nimbuzz, O2 and Toshiba.
Nimbuzz CEO Evert-Jaap Lugt commented, “Software enriches the value chain for the mobile ecosystem. Users, who are looking for a device that fits their lifestyle, operators, looking for new ARPU magnets, and handset manufacturers looking for a value add to differentiate, all profit from Nimbuzz’s mass market solution. Adding 750,000 new users a month, we welcome all O2 customers and TG01 users to Nimbuzz.”

The TG01 provides users the capability to contact all their friends across multiple networks from one place. The Toshiba TG01 measures only 9.9mm in thickness and comes equipped with a 4.1-inch touchscreen display. The other specifications of the device include microSD card slot, 3D GUI interface, 10.2MB HSDPA, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
The pricing and availability details of the Toshiba TG01 for the German markets is yet to be announced.
