Alltel and Motorola team up to release a new mobile device called Evoke QA4 for users who constantly want to keep in touch with social networking sites. This phone enables customers to stay connected through video, text, voice and online networking sites through the Alltel Wireless network.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 sports a 2.8 inch full-featured touchscreen with both QWERTY keypad as well as the slide-out keyboard. Located on the mobile’s home screen are integrated widgets which give users access to information about sports, news, weather, stocks and traffic.

The handset also allows customers quick access to online social networking sites. There is also built-in MySpace included in this mobile. Updates can be posted and profiles can be viewed instantly on the Evoke QA4 phone. Through the touchscreen, users can launch a full HTML browser instantly.

“Alltel recognizes the explosion in the popularity of social networks, and Motorola Evoke QA4 is a powerful handset that will meet the needs of the ‘always connected’ consumer. Whether browsing, conversing, texting, blogging or networking, the Evoke lets customers stay in touch by the methods that match their lifestyle,” explained Angela Rittgers, director of product management for Alltel Wireless.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 mobile offers many multimedia features including a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture. Other features include expandable memory slot, GPS capabilities, stereo Bluetooth and an intuitive user interface. Applications like TV on Demand, Radio on Demand and Alltel Navigation are pre-loaded into the phone.

The Motorola Evoke QA4 is available through Alltel Wireless for a price of $79.99 (approx. Rs.3,979) after $100 (approx. Rs.4,980) mail-in rebate. This offer can be availed by customers signing up for a two year service agreement on a Smart-Choice Pack. These packs start at $69.99 (approx. Rs.3,485) per month and offer customers unlimited data, Web access and e-mail.
