Cricket MSGM8 QWERTY handset unveiled

Cricket Logo Cricket recently enhanced its handset portfolio with a QWERTY device christened MSGM8, also known as the Message Mate. This phone explores Cricket’s 3G network by offering one-touch access to messaging and email, scheduler and MyHomeScreen for favorite social networking sites, sports, weather, news and more.

The MSGM8 sports a 2.2-inch color display and a 1.3 megapaixel camera. The handset supports speech recognition for hands-free calling as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

The QWERTY device features tri-band connectivity and is inclusive of a toggle dial on the left side for easy scrolling/volume control. The Cricket handset is capable of storing up to 1000 contacts and incorporates MyBackup that safeguards users’ contacts.

The Cricket MSGM8 can be purchased November 27 to November 30, 2009 at an introductory price of $99.99 (approx. Rs. 4,629) via Cricket company-owned stores only.
