AT&T releases Windows Mobile 6.5 driven HP iPAQ Glisten
Especially for business professionals, AT&T in association with HP has launched a ‘business oriented’ smartphone dubbed HP iPAQ Glisten. The Windows Mobile 6.5 driven smartphone boasts of being the first AT&T handset with an AMOLED screen.
The 3G enabled HP smartphone features touch-friendly user interface and improved browser with Flash support. The iPAQ makes messaging and mailing easier for business professionals owing to its full QWERTY keyboard and five-way directional pad.
“iPAQ Glisten adds to our innovative Windows Phone portfolio. It meets the demands of our business customers while boasting a beautiful AMOLED touch screen and a full package of multimedia features,” remarked Michael Woodward, vice president, Mobile Phone Portfolio, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
“The iPAQ Glisten packs a powerful punch with its multiple input methods, variety of connectivity options, and a familiar, consistent email experience that allows mobile professionals to connect with the people and information that matter most to them. The feature-rich Glisten packages Outlook calendaring, Microsoft Word and Excel and offers the ability to view Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF documents. With the inclusion of Internet Explorer Mobile 6 and a preloaded Facebook application, connectivity is made faster and easier. The HP smartphone also sports a 3.1 megapixel camera and allows users to edit them with HP Photosmart Mobile and then share them effortlessly via email or on the Web using Snapfish.
The HP smartphone will be made available via AT&T business services, HP corporate sales, small and medium business and consumer websites.
