HTC Magic to land on Vodafone UK by 5th May for free?

HTC Magic Smartphone

The world’s second Android-based smartphone, which made its initial appearance at MWC in Feb 2009, is all set to entice UK consumers.

According to Slashgear, the HTC Magic is listed for pre-orders from Vodafone UK and is signified to reach the customers on 5th May 2009 for free of cost. However, the twist in the tale is that the smartphone will be available on pay monthly plans starting from £30 (approx. Rs. 2,202).

Another catch in the story is that the HTC Magic will be free on 18-month Vodafone contracts. Vodafone customers, apparently, have the opportunity to purchase the HTC Magic at a cheapest contract of £15 (approx. Rs. 1,101), though they need to shell out £293.62 (approx. Rs. 21,55) for the purchase of the smartphone.

Coming to its features, the android-powered smartphone possesses a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, HSDPA, 3G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, a 3.2-megapixel camera, MP3 player and GPS. It will also support a suite of Google applications such as Gmail and Street View.

Nothing much is known about the phone’s unlocked version. However let’s wait till the official announcement is made.
