LG Banter Mobile Phone Available via U.S. Cellular
A month back, we saw LG Banter’s appearance in the mobile phone industry apparently via Alltel. However, there was no official announcement made by either of the companies.
Now, LG has announced the availability of the all new LG Banter through U.S. Cellular. The mobile phone is targeted at consumers who want a device for messaging.
Boasting a chat-style messaging interface, the phone offers a fast and easy way of typing messages with a full sliding QWERTY keyboard.
Apart from the messaging system, the sleek slider LG Banter phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera, an integrated MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and support for up to 16MB microSD card.
“Our customers look for stylish phones that do more than make phone calls. Our LG Banter comes preloaded with useful applications including Your Navigator, Tone Room, a ringtone shop that is updated daily with music from every genre, Pacman and City ID, an enhanced Caller ID feature that displays the city and state of incoming calls, all of which help our customers stay connected,” explained Alan D. Ferber, Chief Marketing Officer at U.S. Cellular.
Other than that, it comes packed with changeable faceplates for users to stylize their Banter according to their liking. This option of customization lets the user change the faceplate from lime green to titanium variations.
“The changeable faceplates of LG Banter bring a whole new look to the full QWERTY keyboard. This handset has widespread, customizable assets to fit several lifestyles,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy & marketing for LG Mobile Phones.
Moreover, for US consumers, U.S. Cellular offers it’s suite of enhanced wireless data application services – easyedge – easing the shopping experience of content that comprises of ringtones, wallpaper and games. Consumers can even locate the latest news and entertainment updates with the available service.
Although the price is still a mystery, the LG Banter mobile phone is available for purchase at U.S. Cellular retail locations and the company’s website.
