Samsung Jet full touch smartphone launched in India
Samsung has combined enhanced features of a smartphone and the user friendly interface of a conventional mobile handset in its new full touch mobile smartphone called Samsung Jet.
Measuring 108.8mm X 53.5mm X 11.9mm, this compact handset sports a 3.1-inch WVGA amoled display. It provides colorful and vivid full touch experience. This WVGA display comes with four times higher resolution screen compared to the WQVGA screen. The integrated 800MHz application processor enhances speed and performance.
It also includes other features like ActiveSync Email system and multi-task manager that delivers enhanced navigation options.
This Samsung phone also features TouchWiz 2.0 user interface that comprises of iconic features such as smart unlock, customizable widget screen, motion UI and more.
Users can enjoy speed dialing by tapping, tilting or flipping the handset, thanks to the incorporated motion recognition engine called motion gate. Additionally, the 3D media gate enables easy access to the multimedia features such as Photo album, Music player, Video player, FM Radio, Games and Internet.

The handset employs Dolfin Internet browser for quick and easy access to the Internet. This Internet browser allows users to open five web pages simultaneously. In addition to this, users can also bookmark their favorite websites as widgets on the phone homepage. It also bundles up integrated ad-blocker, multi-purpose address field as well as background downloading and multiple downloading features. Moreover, one can zoom in/out web pages with one hand using Dolfin’s one finger zoom.
The included A-GPS application helps find a destination by displaying real-time information and directions in 3D form. This is made possible with the incorporated GPS on Google maps, 3D Map Navigation and location-based services. It also comes with geotagging feature and a compass. Using the Geo-magnetic sensor, one can send location information and updates on traffic conditions via SMS. This A-GPS application also provides link information during navigation.
Samsung Jet comes with 5 megapixel camera and integrated GPS. Furthermore, the DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology deliver advanced sound quality while the DivX and XviD video support offers trouble-free viewing and downloading of videos.
Samsung Jet smartphone will be available in India for Rs. 24,150 in the last week of this month.
