Samsung F268 termed as the Greenest Mobile Phone

Samsung F268 Handset With so many eco-friendly handsets in the market, Samsung’s F268 handset is termed as the “Greenest Mobile Phone” according to the leading environmental campaigning organization called Greenpeace International. Some of its competitors in the handset category were Motorola V9, the Nokia 3110 Evolve, the Sony Ericsson C905 and the LG KT520.

The win was revealed by ‘Green Electronics: Search Continues’ report, it applauses Samsung’s efforts towards developing more renewable and eco-friendly materials and calls it a remarkable achievement.

The Samsung F268 handset as well as its accessories does not contain brominated flame retardant (BFR) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It also comes with an alarm function that indicates you when the device is fully charged. It is fully compliant with the Energy Star requirements.

“At Samsung Electronics we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously and are committed to continually improving the environmental and social impact of our business,” said Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecommunication Business. “We are delighted to have got this result and aim to build on this success as we strive to make more products as green as possible and to proactively set up and expand a phone recycling system.”
