NTT DoCoMo unfurls 19 new handsets and 1 digital photo frame

DoCoMo Smart Series

NTT DoCoMo plans to extend their product lineup by introducing 19 new handsets. Along with these mobile phones, they are also launching a 3G- capable digital photo frame. These devices will release on different dates on or after November 20.

The lineup comprises of 4 series of Foma 3G handsets namely docomo Style series, docomo Prime series, docomo Smart series and docomo Pro series. These devices come in various colors and are offered in diverse trendy designs.

The F-02B in the docomo Style series is designed in a jewelry-quality style. Users need not worry about their phone getting damaged in water as the device is waterproof. To provide a dash of sophistication, a snap-on perfume holder comes with the handset. The device is scheduled to launch between November to December 2009. The L-01B model from the Style series includes the hottest colors for body and lighting. For swift access to favorite functions, an auxiliary touchscreen is offered. The device is planned to release between February to March 2010. The L-02B is designed quite stylishly and also comes with beauty tips. This handset will be rolled out in December 2009. The L-03B model is compact with a simple design. A trilingual interface including Japanese, English and Korean are offered for frequent travelers. This device will be available from March 2010. The N-01B model is designed quite sophisticatedly. The lighting in colors is fairly similar to French manicure designs. The handset will hit the stands from December 2009.

The N-03B model is a waterproof device. The handset comes with strong but gorgeous water-pattern coating. It is scheduled to be introduced between January to February 2010. The P-02B model is a stunning swing/slider phone including a touchscreen-operated camera. The handset can be launched between February to March 2010. The SH-04B model is a crystal-patterned body surface comprising of stylish lighting and smooth curves. The device is planned to release between November to December 2009. The SH-04B is Melting Sweet Chocolate model. Accessory-maker Q-Pot has designed this model. It will roll out in December 2009. The last model of the Style series is SH-05B. The handset is claimed to be a dream teen phone and the top models of seventeen magazine have designed this handset. It will be introduced in the market in February 2009.

The next phones are from the docomo Prime series. These devices are designed for multimedia and entertainment enthusiasts. The F-01B model which will be launched in November 2009 is a high-spec waterproof handset and includes 12.2 mp camera. The F-04B model also comes with 12.2 mp camera and is claimed to be the world’s first separable two-module body. It is planned to hit the stands between March to April 2010. The N-02B model will roll out in December 2009 and encompasses a 12.2 mp camera for speedy, effortless shooting and storage of images. The P-01B model is a Viera phone that boasts of high-speed auto-focus camera and keypad that can also transform into a touchpad. The SH-01B model will release on November 20, 2009. The Aquos Shot phone embraces a 12.1 mp camera and a striking crystal-pattern body.

Next in the lineup is the docomo Smart series. The F-03B will be introduced between November to December 2009. The handset is slender and sleek. It is waterproof and comes with 12.2 mp camera. The P-03B model which will roll out between January to February 2010 is a slim handset and claims to have the longest battery life among all the Foma models. The docomo Pro series includes 2 models namely SC-01B and SH-03B. The SC-01B model features Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone and boasts of convenient touchscreen and QWERTY keypad. It will release in February 2010. The SH-03B model includes a big 3.7-inch touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. It will launch on February 2010.

The digital photo frame is named Otayori Photo Panel 02. The device is the second model digital photo frame and includes 3G wireless connectivity which can be applied with Docomo’s Otayori Photo Service. It will hit the stands between December 2009 to January 2010.

Several new or updated features are also released with the handsets. The device boasts of auto-GPS for constant positioning. The applications will often reconfirm the user’s present site. A GPS map will offer local information to keep users up to date about their adjoining regions. Mail updates concerning local weather, travel or games can be provided. i-concier can supply useful information like restaurants or flight details. Users can also get latest updates regarding the departure of the train from the closest station.

This handset includes more tough data security service. Several data types can be stored online on safe Docomo servers.
