Spark Mobiles tests the toughest mobile phone

Sure enough, users are well-cognizant of the usefulness of a sturdy mobile phone when need to confront hard as nails conditions. Bearing out such an inevitable factuality, Spark Mobiles held a press and distributor meet in November 2009 at Claridges Hotel in New Delhi. The event exhibited the company’s tough phones, with a multitude of distributors from north India and the press as audience.
For corroborating the hardiness of such robust handsets, the devices were exposed and subjected to extreme conditions and were finally put to test.
The live demonstration commenced with the handset being run over by a 3-ton Hummer, which quite startlingly not only went over it but stayed on the phone for a stint. This was followed by a media person dipping the device in slush for a short span of time and then cleansed the clutter with water only to see the phone is still fully functional.
After withstanding such stalwart conditions, the phone was wacked by a cricket bat for a while and remained unharmed through it all. Following all this, it was submerged in an aquarium, completely underwater. Certainly, zipping all, the device rang in spite of being immersed.
The Chairperson, Elaine Roach proclaimed that distributor interest was overwhelming throughout India and the company will shortly be announcing the formal date of launch of the phones.
Hopefully, these rugged mobile phones will soon thwack the doors and will save tons of money and irksome lines glimpsed on faces.
