Samsung unveils the B5702 Mobile Phone

Samsung B5702 Mobile Phone Samsung Electronics presents the latest dual-standby mobile phone called B5702. This device enables customers to operate two SIM cards at the same time.

The Samsung B5702 is a slider phone which sports a sleek and stylish look. The mobile phone has a metal finish and measures 106 x 52.5 x 17.5mm. Pictures and text can be viewed on a 2.4 inches TFT LCD / 320 x 240 (QVGA) 262K display screen. With a 3 megapixel camera and Auto Focus enabled into the mobile phone, users can capture excellent quality pictures.

The highlight of the B5702 is its dual-standby features. According to Samsung, this model is the world’s first dual-standby mobile phone to support quad-band connectivity. Customers can distinguish which SIM is used for the incoming calls by two LED lights.

The B5702 also offers users the ability to personalize their ringtones, screensavers and themes to help identify which SIM is being used. Users need not reboot their mobile phone to switch between the two SIM cards. Consumers can simply toggle between SIM cards with the dedicated hot key located on the side of the phone.

The Samsung B5702 mobile phone offers its users a varied choice of entertainment features. Customers can surf the internet and check their e-mails with the Web Browsing application supported by both SIM cards. The B5702 offers many multimedia features such as an audio player which supports different formats like MP3, AMR, AAC and WMA. Video recording supporting H.263 + AMR, MPEG4 is also enabled in the phone. Music-loving customers can also listen to FM radio with Radio Data System function activated on their phones.

Users of the Samsung B5702 can share pictures and files thorough Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and USB 2.0 high speed connectivity. This device incorporates an internal memory of 50MB and an external memory expandable up to 8GB. The phone offers up to 11.4 hours talk time and standby time of up to 220.9 hours. The B5702 handset also supports a Document Viewer that lets users view files in MS Office, PDF, BMP, TXT, PNG and JPG formats.

The Samsung B5702 will be available in May 2009 in many markets including Russia. The price of the mobile phone is not known.
