Stylish HTC S743 Phone Comes to US

HTC rolls out its latest HTC S743 mobile phone in the American market.
With both the standard 12-key keypad design and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the HTC S743 ensures convenience in navigating through menus, surfing web, texting, watching images or videos and accessing business applications.
Based on Windows Mobile 6.1, the stylish phone works effectively with Microsoft Exchange, personal POP3 and IMAP4 email protocols. Apart from that, the mobile device also supports high-speed HSDPA (850/1900 MHz) networks.
“While others are content focusing on a single design or user interface, HTC is dedicated to bringing the benefits of mobile convergence to all consumers, without forcing them to use a device that doesn’t truly fit their lifestyle. The HTC S743, which packs high-design and high-performance into a trim 4.9 ounce package, is a great example of HTC’s rejection of a ‘one-size-fits-all’ philosophy,” stated Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America.
Moreover, the HTC S743 features the same ‘faceted’ design first employed on HTC Touch Diamond and ensures ergonomic and outstanding voice experience.
At just 4.9 ounces and 4.58×1.71×0.65-inches, the HTC S743 includes a large and bright 2.4 inch QVGA display with 240×320 pixels, 3.0-megapixel autofocus camera with a second VGA camera for video calling, GPS with Google Maps support and Bluetooth compatibility.
The HTC S743 is slated to reach the US in first quarter of 2009 through independent channels, national retailers and online e-tailers such as dell.com and cdw.com. Price is still not disclosed.
