Samsung unleashes Guru 2120, 2130 and 1160 phones in India
Samsung seems to be all geared up to take the Indian cell phone market by a storm. Extending their range of Guru phones to 11 models, the company has now added the Guru 2120, Guru 2130 and Guru 1160 mobiles to their Guru edition.
The 2130 and 2120 are the first in the line to be unleashed with integrated cameras. The 2130 comes with dual loudspeakers and a VGA camera cum video recorder. The memory storing capacity for songs, images and videos amounts to 2GB microSD. This FM enabled device allows users to hear the radio without needing earphones. Additionally, safety features like Mobile tracker as well as 4 implanted Java games, functions like Bike Mode and Mobile prayer 2.0 are also thrown in.
The 2120 is fitted with an integrated VGA camera cum video recorder. The image editor application allows users to have fun cropping, adjusting the brightness and contrast and also adding frames to the images. All these functions can be performed without connecting the phone to a PC. The external memory capacity runs up to 2GB while FM radio can be heard without a handsfree. There is one-click MP3 shortcut key access and users have the option of recording and converting radio clips into MP3 ringtones. Additionally, it comes with Bluetooth connectivity, Advanced Mobile tracker, Bike and Whisper modes, 4 Java games, Mobile prayer 2.0 in 4 Indian religions and support for 9 regional languages. The device is powered with a 1000mAh battery that offers up to 11 hours of talk time.
The dual band Guru 1160 is packed in with wireless stereo FM backed by dual loud speakers, Bike mode, support for 7 regional languages, MP3 ringtones and 40 hours of bright torch light. The 1000mAh battery promises 12.3 hours of talk time, and 30 days of standby time. Bike mode is a setting which automatically answers calls that are set in priority in case both the user’s hands are occupied while driving or performing any similar activity.
The 2130, 2120 and 1160 are priced at Rs.3,600, Rs.3,240 and Rs.2,249, respectively.
