Palm Treo Pro comes through Alltel
Palm and Alltel Wireless announce the availability of the Treo Pro smartphone for $199, says Palm Official Blog. This sleek, full-function smartphone offers easy usage of robust functions for all the demanding business users.
Sporting a thin design, Treo Pro features a hi-res color touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard and a removable battery with up to five hours of talk time. The professionals can stay connected using the Wi-Fi, GPS and Windows Mobile 6.1. The Treo Pro also supports EV-DO Rev. A data speeds and you can use the browser, send/receive emails quickly at mobile wireless broadband speeds.
“Businesses want the control and savings that Windows affords, in an innovative and elegant package that keeps their users happy. Treo Pro balances both,” said John Traynor, vice president, business products, Palm, Inc.
Its integrated GPS provides turn-by-turn directions, maps and POIs while the Wi-Fi hardware and software innovations offer faster connections. Adding to your convenience is the one-touch Wi-Fi button, Microsoft Direct Push Technology for email, contacts and calendars, Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 for security, easier management and accessing information on corporate network.
“Treo Pro strengthens our aggressive business product portfolio by letting customers easily stay connected and experience Alltel’s broadband network,” said Angela Rittgers, director of product management for Alltel Wireless. “Businesses will benefit from Treo Pro’s advanced functionality and well-designed user interface.”
It is the first Palm phone to feature Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with support for Flash, thus enhancing your browsing experience. It also comes with a Ringer switch for immediately silencing the device, clock and date screen saver, new voicemail indicator and dedicated email and calendar buttons.
The Palm Treo Pro is available for $199.99 (after the required rebates and agreements) at Alltel Wireless retail stores and Alltel online store.
