Following the successful launch of the HTC Touch Pro-2, here comes a new HTC smartphone dubbed Touch2. This compact and stylish device is the first handset to feature Microsoft’s new Windows Phone software. The handset promises to provide a full touch experience and is designed to target a boarder group of consumers.

The compact design of this handset fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. The handset also ensures that all the frequently used functions are placed at the fingertips of the user. The Touch2 incorporates the TouchFLO user interface. This interface integrates features like weather updates and quick touch access to a host of popular applications. It also provides support for Google Maps, YouTube and many more similar applications.

“The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives,” said Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, HTC Corporation. “Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.”

This new Windows Mobile phone includes powerful messaging and browsing features. Incorporating the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, the Touch2 promises to offer the best e-mail experience. It is also capable of synchronizing with Microsoft Exchange as well as checking and managing multiple email accounts. The handset supports Internet Explorer-Mobile with Adobe Flash.

The HTC phone also provides access to the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. The My Phone service offered by Microsoft allows users to backup and sync the data stored on the handset. The HTC Touch2 will initially be made available starting from October 6. The company plans a wider launch for this handset in the UK and the Asian markets, early in the fourth quarter of this year.
