Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness gets FCC approval

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness The long forgotten Kiki concept phone is back in news. This time the handset is supposedly called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness. What more? This handset has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is now on its way to the markets, reports Ubergizmo. This weird looking candy bar handset boasts of its transparent display.

The Xperia Pureness claims offer support for 3G connectivity. Well, we were just wondering if the see-through screen will be capable of streaming multimedia content. Apparently, this handset eliminates features like GPS, camera, WiFi, and touchscreen that are found in most of the handsets. The detailed spec sheet of this handset is still under wraps.

Apparently, earlier heard rumors claim that Sony Ericsson plans to sell this handset via non-carrier retailer and design museum shops. This distribution strategy is a pretty bold move by the company. And we are surely curious to know more about this piece of art.

Although the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness has been approved by the FCC, we are still unsure as to when this handset will make its way to the market. There is no official word on the pricing or availability of this handset as yet.
