LG unveils GW520 and GT505 touchscreen phones

LG has unveiled its new offerings in the form of LG GW520 and LG GT505. These handsets offer effortless access to the Internet anytime, anywhere. They offer real-time updates as alerts on the handset from various social networking sites.

The new LG phones comprise of better messaging functions compared to earlier released LG KS360. Thus, users can read them as soon as the updates are posted on the sites. Moreover, users can also update their profiles, status and photos. LG GW520 and GT505 also feature Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for business accounts and push email feature for personal accounts.

They want the kind of messaging and social networking features previously the preserve of high end handsets on a wide range of models, and that is what LG is offering. LG GW520 comes with 3.0 megapixel camera, sliding QWERTY keypad, HSDPA 7.2 and WAP 2.0 browser. It sports 2.8 inch complete touchscreen along with 3G enabled networks. Users can also attach an animated character to a contact which is made possible by the integrated LiveSquare function. These characters can be clicked for easy and quick access to a contact.

LG GT505 provides easy turn by turn navigation options with the Wisepilot software. The phone comes with 30-day free trial of Wisepilot software that also offers voice instructions and 2D/ 3D mapping.

Its array of features also include 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, HDSPA 3.6 and 3-inch full touchscreen along with 3G enabled networks. LG GT505 handset will be available through Orange.

The LG GT505 and LG GW520 will be available this month. The pricing details are not yet disclosed.
