Vodafone India begins the Pre-registration for the 3G iPhone
Vodafone and Bharti Airtel are the companies which will be carrying the iPhone 3G in India. Vodafone has reportedly started a pre-registration initiative for the iPhone and claims that it will be available in India during this year.
The 3G iPhone issue still pertains in India as the government is yet to give a nod to the 3G spectrum and license. Presently Vodafone network supports only 2G network. But Vodafone has already offered a pre-registration for the iPhone on its website. It has not revealed a precise date of availability though.
Though the original iPhone has not yet entered the Indian markets officially, it has made its way through the gray markets. The original as well as the 3G iPhone are said to come to India this year. We wonder how much truth this holds. Without getting into much of speculation, lets wait and watch.
