Sprint HTC Touch Pro phone introduced
HTC launches its highly anticipated HTC Touch Pro for Sprint with several business focused enhancements that make work quicker and easier. Its styling and functionality is similar to the recently launched HTC Touch Diamond.
Striking a perfect balance between personal and professional life, the HTC Touch Pro is built on the strong set of features equipped by the HTC Touch Diamond. It packs in a five-row, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot (1 GB card included), a business card scanner application, 3.2MP camera with autofocus, flash and video calling and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1.
Measuring 4.17 (L) x 2.05(W) x 0.70 (D) and weighing 5.3 ounces, it also features 2.8-inch VGA touch screen, HTC ExtUSBä (mini-USB and audio jack in one, USB 2.0 High-Speed), 1340 mAh battery, Qualcomm MSM 7201Aä 528MHz Chipset, GPS/AGPS, built-in TV-out, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, internal memory 512 MB flash, 288 MB RAM and talk time up to 250 minutes.
With HTC’s intuitive TouchFLO 3D interface, users can arrange their favorite contacts, photos, weather and music. The HTC Touch Pro uses the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network and with the EV-DO Rev. A technology access it offers faster transfer speeds. Apart from fast connectivity, it incorporates the gravity-sensor technology that automatically rotates the Web page from a portrait to landscape view on turning the device sideways.
You can directly access exclusive Sprint content like live and on-demand programming from Sprint TV, over-the-air song downloads from the Sprint Music Store and YouTube application.
The Sprint retail locations offer an unmatched customer experience. To enjoy all the amazing features, Sprint customers can sign up for the $99.99 Simply Everything plan . Thus they will be entitled to unlimited domestic calling, messaging, email, Web surfing, GPS navigation, Sprint Music Premier, Sprint TV Premier, NFL Mobile Live, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, Direct Connect and Group Connect on compatible phones. The current customers are entitled to this without the need to renew their contract. Others will require a two-year agreement.
The HTC Touch Pro carries price tag worth $299.99 (approx Rs. 14,930) with a two-year subscriber agreement after a $100 mail-in-rebate and also a $25-or-higher data add-on or Everything plan with data. It is available at select national retailers beginning from October 26 and also at all Sprint sales channels, Sprint website, 1-800-SPRINT1 and Sprint Stores on November 2.
