Nokia India has launched its latest 5800 XpressMusic music phone in the country.
The music and entertainment device under the popular XpressMusic brand sports touch interface with tactile feedback and virtual computer-style QWERTY keyboard as well as Media Bar to directly access music, videos and photos.
Powered by S60 5th Edition user interface, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic features include a graphic equalizer, 81 MB of internal memory with up to 16 GB expandable memory, compatibility with all main digital music formats, a 3.5mm jack and built-in surround sound stereo speakers. All these specifications enable users to store and play music of their choice at a superior quality.
In addition, it also incorporates the innovative ‘Contacts Bar’ to allow users to highlight four favorite contacts on their home-screen and get details of them.
The 5800 XpressMusic also comes with a 3.2-inch display screen, 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zesis optics and dual-LED flash, and a front camera for video calling. It supports nHD (640 x 360) at up to 30 fps during video capturing.
Besides, the latest XpressMusic phone from Nokia also employs a built-in A-GPS with Nokia Maps and voice guided navigation and supports 3G, HSDPA and WLAN connectivity. It is compatible with hi-speed USB 2.0 and Bluetooth wireless technology 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio.
For music synchronization, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset is compliant with Nokia Music Store, Nokia OviSuite, Nokia Music PC client, Nokia PC Suite and Windows Media Player 11.
It also comes bundled with a pen stylus and a plectrum.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone is scheduled to be available in India by January 2009 for an estimated price Rs. 21,839.
