Dual GSM-PDA phone Spice D-1100 introduced in India

Lately we had reported about the dual mode handsets D-88 and D-80 by Spice Mobiles. Well it strikes again, with its next generation Spice D-1100 Dual SIM (GSM/GSM) PDA handset.

The Spice D-1100 smartphone gives you access to two sims without having to change your mobile or keep switching the sim cards. If you have been juggling between your personal and professional number than this phone suits you the best. Apparently it is the only dual sim phone that is capable of having two live sims working simultaneously.

This new Spice PDA phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.0. It lets you access e-mails, business applications, view Microsoft Power-point as well as read and compose Microsoft Word / Excel Mobile charts. The corporate executives are offered premium services of m-commerce through ngpay and are kept updated about the world-wide happenings through Thomson Reuters.

The Spice D-1100 phone features a 2 mega-pixel camera, an expandable memory of up-to 2 GB, stereo Bluetooth, Windows Media Player and Google search. The PDA offers a touch panel, alpha-numeric keypad and an integrated stylus. The Spice D-1100 Dual SIM PDA phone carries a price tag of Rs. 16,999.

    not a very descriptive review and no screenshots!
    well just to add here that 'this is not possibly the only handset with two live sims'. CECT (popularly known as China Mobile has been having this for a while! check out CECT A1000, M8600 etc...
    but hopefully this will not have a chinese interface but a better Windows Mobile. this phone was needed and one wonders what took so long? Nokai / SE / Moto are you listening?

    what is is the final price tag, availbility, location of dealer andwhat kind of anti virus protection would be available with the phone

    the phone looks nice and fantastic with the dual sim feature n all. But certain things are unanswered like battery life,antivirus,warranty etc.

    Rs. 16,000 for a mob that does'nt have wi-fi is really exhorbitant. All other PDA phones without wifi are around Rs.12000 (eg. Imate)

    sTRANGE BUT TRUE, ALL MOBILE BLOGGERS SEEM TO BE PAID BY sPICE TO MAKE GOOD PICTURE ABOUT spicE..

    i had been using spice dual phone.. cdma-gsm of D series (d-88) and belive me .. life sucs.. its battery is pathetic.... topping on ice is with in 1 year i had sent it twice for maintenece.. that to upto one month..... as its keypad backlight is not working though i had given it for rectification.. .. camera is horribly good as it still works but what so ever settings u make it cicks foto only in green shade... in very bright day light camera starts giving special efects as if its is some cartoon movie.. may be some bolywod director can buy this camera for special efects.. as of date also my back light of keypad is not working .. but i think i better manage without it raher than give them again to play spoilsport..

    Over all ... DONT BUY STUFF LIKE THIS.. and what so ever spice claims im not going to buy again.. SPICE....

    I guess techgadegts is being paid by spice.
