ICICI introduces iMobile Banking Application on Mobile Phones

ICICI iMobile, Mobile Banking Service ICICI Bank has announced to introduce the iMobile service offering its customers a unique mobile banking platform on their mobile phones. The new service will allow its account holders to do all the transactions which are usually done by Internet banking.

Customers can even transfer their funds to ICICI and Non ICICI Bank accounts from their mobile phones. They can also pay their utility bills and insurance premium.

The iMobile service will be available for all kinds of ICICI account holders such as Savings bank, Demat, Credit Card and Loan accounts.

Customers who are registered for mobile alerts can download the iMobile application by sending an SMS with text “iMobile” to 56767661. Then the users having GPRS connection will receive a WAP link for activation. Customers who do not have GPRS can download the iMobile application from ICICI Bank.com on their desktops. Later they can transfer it with the help of Bluetooth or data cable.

India has only 20 million internet connections and has over 200 million mobile connections. With this application, most features of internet banking will now be available on mobile phones, providing a breakthrough improvement in banking services.”

For security and to restrict unauthorized access, users will need to enter their 4 digit PIN into Mobile Banking Application. The application is available free of charge.
