Samsung announced that its Omnia i900 phone will debut in Italy on July 22 and will make its way across Europe by the end of August.

Italians will soon get to purchase this immensely hyped smart phone which is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro. The Omnia i900 is expected to compete with the iPhone.

To make things more interesting anyone who pre-orders a Samsung Omnia i900 through the Media World stores across Italy will apparently also receive a free Xbox 360 Arcade.

The phone features a 2-inch WideQVGA display (240 x 400 pixels), 5 megapixel auto focus camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, GPS receiver, FM radio and an optical mouse for navigation.

The 8GB version of the phone is priced at 499 Euros (approx Rs. 33,853).
