HTC Max 4G – Wimax-enabled Phone to Enter Russia via Yota

HTC has collaborated with Scartel (brand Yota), Russian provider of Mobile WiMAX, to roll out the HTC Max 4G handset in the Russian market.
Said to be the world’s first integrated GSM/WiMAX handset, the Max 4G supports Yota’s Mobile WiMAX network. It also has the ability to stream online films, video and TV programmes, thanks to Yota Home package and Yota Video service.
Powered by Qualcomm ESM7206A 528 MHz, the Max 4G runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes embedded with a 3.8 inch 800×480 screen, Touch FLO 3D user interface and 8 GB of onboard memory. It is also features GPS, VoIP, IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and HTC ExtUSB.
In terms of entertainment functionalities, the HTC Max 4G comes with two cameras and an FM-radio. It is compatible with AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, QCP, MP3, WMA and WAV file formats.
Yota plans to release the HTC Max 4G mobile phone by November end for a suggested price of $1,000 (approx. Rs. 48,000).
