Barclays’ Hello Money Banking Service introduced on Mobile Phones in India

Barclays logo Phone Barclays has announced its latest service that has been developed especially for mobile phone users in India. This mobile banking service is dubbed as Hello Money and allows individuals to carry their bank in their mobile, wherein they can access banking services anytime/anywhere while on the go.

All you need to do is dial *598*1#, which assists you through the mobile-based menu, allowing to choose from a variety of banking options and enter the correct Hello Money PIN. Now, you are all ready to perform account enquiries and financial transactions, including fund transfers, bill payments, requests and other banking services, thus eliminating the need to visit a bank branch or ATMs.

Suresh Gurumani, Barclays Bank Director (Retail Banking) maintained that the company is also in talks with micro finance institutions to provide the Hello Money service.

Compatible with all GSM mobile phones on the Airtel, Vodafone and Idea networks in 40 cities across the nation, it offers Hindi and English lingual assistance. However, more languages along with extension to CDMA handsets support are in process and will be available soon.

Users will experience the comprehensive process of banking services on a user-friendly platform that can also offer other efficient m-commerce services. They need to shell out a nominal Rs. 30 as a monthly price.
