Motorola MING A1600, A1800 and MOTO A810 PDA phones Launched in China

For Chinese market, Motorola has launched three PDA mobiles phones, dubbed MING A1600, MING A1800 and MOTO A810.

While the high-end MING A1600 and A1800 feature GPS with other multimedia functions, the entry-level MOTO A810 has PDA specifications.

The A810, meanwhile, adds new energy and style to Motorola’s PDA series – it is ideal for those young professionals who are looking to work hard and play hard, thanks to the multi-functional and fully-featured set of tools we have included,” said Ray Yam, Vice President and General Manager, Motorola Mobile Devices, China.

Measuring 98.5 x 53.40 x 19.50 mm, the Linux-based MOTOMING A1600 features 2.4-inch touchscreen with 320 x 240 TFT color resolution, support for GSM Quad-band capability, aGPS with turn-by-turn navigation, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and scanning capability, PDA functionality, 27 MB internal memory with 4 GB expandable microSD card, panorama and GIF animation compliant, an integrated Java games, Fuzzy Pin Yin Handwriting recognition, WAP 2.0 browsing, Micro USB and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity.

The MOTOMING A1800 has distinctive signature transparent flip cover, GPS, handwriting technology, 150 MB with 4 GB microSD pre-loaded card, a 3.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus and panorama capability and a camera scan talking dictionary. Featuring CDMA/GSM dual-mode, the handset is equipped with incoming call/SMS firewall.

Both the Motorola MING A1600 and A1800 mobile phones are designed for professionals as they are bundled with mobile business applications such as email, Internet access (A1600 only), a business card reader, Kingsoft translation software, and a Office document reader.

While reading English documents, the A1600 PDA phone has the ability to scan and translate the words that are not known to the consumers. With the integrated talking dictionary, they can even scan characters, recognize the words and then pronounce them.

The chic and stylish MOTO A810 is PDA handset employs Motorola’s industry-leading smart handwriting technology, a built-in 2 megapixel camera, integrated MP3 and video player, FM radio and standard 3.5mm jack help balance work with fun. It also sports USB 2.0 compatibility, up to 2GB memory with a MicroSD card, and an integrated stock trading and dictionary applications as well as classic games.

The Motorola PDA phones will be immediately available in China through Motorola retailers.
