Samsung SGH-i200 Mobile Phone to Release in June

Samsung SGH-i200 phone Recently, we had reported about the Samsung SGH-i200 smartphone. Now, Samsung has unveiled the mobile phone in the European market.

The slim and compact handset is targeted at business professionals as it is based on the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, ensuring access to MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook swiftly.

Measuring just 11.8 mm thin, the i200 phone has a 2.3-inch QVGA TFT screen deployed, along with features such as HSDPA 3.6 Mbps data communications, a 2-megapixel camera, music player and unique light sensor function to reduce the power consumption to adjust the light of the LCD and keypad automatically.

“Samsung is going to offer more diverse smartphones for business professionals in line with its recently declared strategy ‘a mobile for every lifestyle. Samsung i200 is the young, stylish and energetic mobile which will be the perfect mate for urban business professionals,” said Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecom Business.

In addition, the latest Samsung handset also provides an Intuitive User Interface that enables straight-access to most of the menus in the phone. Users can also operate other internet functions through HTML that allow easy editing, combined email and SMS/MMS management. The automatic pop-up lets them receive updates on their e-mail delivery.

Expected to hit the European market in June this year, the Samsung SGH-i200 handset is slated to be available in other countries later this year. Price is still a mystery.
