HTC Touch HD Mobile Phone hits Hong Kong and Taiwan Markets

HTC Touch HD Phone HTC has announced the launch of its HTC Touch HD phone in Hong Kong and Taiwan through CSL mobile operator and Taiwan mobile, respectively.

Targeted at business consumers, the sleek and stylish handset sports a large 3.8-inch wide-screen VGA display (WVGA), HTC’s TouchFLO 3D user interface, standard 3.5 mm audio jack and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus. It comes with Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, FM Radio and a G-Sensor.

At 147 grams and 115 x 62.8 x 12mm, the Touch HD is powered by a Qualcomm 7201A processor and is based on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Supporting the standard 3G network, the phone enables users to access Google maps, YouTube and Stock tab in addition to other websites.

“Today, Widescreen TV, Internet and video have become the standard so there is no reason to compromise when you leave the house, the Touch HD delivers that uncompromising multimedia and Internet experience,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp.

The HTC Touch HD will be available in early December 2008 in Hong Kong for HKD 6,980 (approx. Rs. 45,165). The release date for Taiwan is yet to be announced.
