Sony Ericsson unveils the environmental-friendly conceptual GreenHeart phone

Intending to raise the bar for the environmental-friendly mobile phones, Sony Ericsson announced its latest concept handset, dubbed GreenHeart.

This ‘not designed for production’ handset is developed by using biodegradable products is said to feature bio-plastic housings, recycled plastic keypads, zero charger with 3.5mW standby power and HTML based e-manuals to minimize paper-waste. It possesses a game style educational application ‘Ecomate’ and environmentally conscious packaging.

“The global take back scheme and the GreenHeart project bring us closer to our vision of being a leader in sustainability in the mobile phone industry,” explained Mats Pellback-Scharp, Head of Corporate Sustainability for Sony Ericsson.

Although the GreenHeart is just a concept phone and not in production, Sony Ericsson envisions a recyclable mobile phone in the near future for sustainability eco-friendly atmosphere.

Looking at the images, the phone is quite simple but impressive, its environmentally friendly materials make it a sure winner!
