Mobile Phones in India to get TV Soaps Soon
Mobile Phones, being important day-to-day required gadgets for most of us, have to keep their owners entertained. We are all aware of the movie content that is available on most handsets. Just to enhance a bit, now mobile phones will be available to produce soaps to users’ screen.
The banner behind the big Bollywood movies such as “Maine Pyaar Kiya”, “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun” and “Vivaah” has announced the launch of the 90-episode series meant for mobile phones by the end of January 2008.
Rajshri Productions’ younger head and honcho of Rajshri Media, Rajat Barjatya will now provide the first ever serial for handsets owners in India. Series set in humor genre, each episode is expected to be showcased for around three minutes. These soaps boast to be very desi (India-centric), very compelling, and one-of-its-kind.
Rajat Barjatya, the younger brother of Sooraj Barjatya, said, “Earlier there was cinema and TV. Today, PC, mobile phones and devices like iPod are personal entertainment touch points to the audience. So we are looking at these third, fourth and fifth screen (which is PC, mobile and ipod).”
Specialized in producing content for new media such as Internet, mobile phones, and iPods, Rajshri Media has introduced Rajshri Productions’ “Vivaah” simultaneously in theaters and online on its website.
Hope people love it! And it appeals as differently as the way TV content is developed, conceived and produced.
