HTC TyTN II Smartphone Introduced in Europe

HTC has announced the launch of its latest smartphone, called HTC TyTN II, across Europe.

The Windows Mobile 6.0 smartphone also sports high speed HSDPA connectivity, 3-megapixel auto focus camera, Bluetooth 2.0, ROM 256MB, 128MB RAM, easy scrolling with touch scrolling or jog wheel, microSD card slot and an innovative adjustable screen angle. It also features 2.8-inch color screen slides back to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard.

The ultimate mobile companion makes it easier for users to read and create emails and use other applications by tilting the screen up. You can also find tri-band UMTS and quad-band EDGE as well as 802.11b/g Wi-Fi delivering high-speed surfing, uploading and downloading contents.

HTC offers its latest live home screen that gives easy access to photo dialing, text messages, calendar entries, e-mails contact. It also provides one touch access to live weather conditions with 4-day forecasts.

Moreover, it also comes equipped with a business card scanner and TomTom Navigator 6 GPS unit with the company’s HTCmail that enables the users to experience fully hosted, secure, and managed email service based on Microsoft Hosted Exchange. The emails are delivered through Outlook 2007 that gives access up to five email accounts.

“Today’s launches – both HTC TyTN II and HTCmail – are all about fast, easy access on the move to the kind of features and connectivity previously reserved for the PC world”, said Florian Seiche, vice president of HTC Europe.

HTC TyTN II Smartphone works on 1350 mAh rechargeable Li-polymer battery that offers:

  • Standby time: Up to 350 hours for UMTS
  • Up to 365 hours for GSM
  • Talk time: Up to 264 minutes for UMTS
  • Up to 420 minutes for GSM
  • Up to 120 minutes for video call
  • HTC TyTN II Smartphone will be available from September in Europe through Orange, T-Mobile, Telefonica Group and Vodafone, as well as directly under the HTC brand. Price is still a mystery.
