Apple iPhone to come to European markets later this Year and in Asia by 2008

On Wednesday, Apple almost confirmed the news that it will start selling iPhones in key European countries later this year.
During a conference call with analysts following Apple’s third- quarter report, Apple Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer said, “We are on track to begin selling the iPhone in Europe during the fourth calendar quarter of this year starting with a few major countries, and expanding the number of countries throughout 2008.”
Further, he also revealed that in the US, Apple sold 2,70,000 iPhones within the first 30 hours of the launch itself.
Besides, Oppenheimer admitted that iPhone buyers faced activation problems during the first week and said that AT&T has corrected most of those problems.
After iPhone’s introduction in Europe, Apple also plans to launch its in demand device in Asia by early 2008.
