Matsushita shall cover Direct Costs related to the Nokia BL-5C Batteries Advisory
Nokia and Matsushita Battery have finally arrived at an amicable decision that Matsushita will cover the direct costs related to the product advisory on Nokia-branded BL-5C batteries.

According to Masatsugu Kondo, President of Matsushita Battery, “Nokia and Matsushita have a long business relationship and the two companies are cooperating closely together in this situation. Matsushita Battery has agreed to cover the direct costs associated with the product advisory, including, among other things, logistics costs, call center costs, and replacement battery costs.”
Robert Andersson, head of Nokia Customer and Market Operations, remarks “The safety of our customers and the reliability and quality of our products are our top priorities. We are pleased with the good cooperation between Nokia and Matsushita. Together we aim to serve consumers in the best possible manner and minimize the inconvenience this issue could cause them.”
We have written on the step to identify whether the battery is affected or not. If Nokia consumers want to check their BL-5C battery, they need to visit www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement. They can even contact their local Nokia customer care.
Currently, if any of the Nokia users are using the BL-5C battery, which is subject to the product advisory, they can replace their battery without any charge.
