Nokia announces Special Services for its Consumers to Verify Status of BL-5C Battery, in India

Nokia logo and battery check Few days back there was news about a Product Advisory issued by Nokia for its BL-5C battery that has been manufactured by Matsushita. Now, Nokia wants to take immediate action for valued consumers who have the affected battery.

Nokia has announced a series of special services for consumers convenient to identify the BL-5C batteries and its replacement.

The special services are given below for the Nokia users:

  • SMS BT <26 character battery identification number> and send to 5555
  • Log on to www.nokia.co.in and enter the 26 character battery identification number
  • Call Nokia Care at 30303838 prefixed by the local STD code if dialing from a mobile number or 080 if dialing from a landline and state the 26 character battery identification number

    • Firstly, Nokia consumers need to keep one thing in mind that the product advisory was only for the Nokia-branded BL-5C battery manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co., Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006.

    If the user wants to know if the battery is the one in that series, they need to check the “Nokia” and “BL-5C” printed on the front of the Nokia branded battery. If your battery is BL-5C, check the identification number that features 26 characters on the bottom of the battery by following any of the above services.

    Nokia claims that if the identification number on the battery matches with the affected identification number, the company will deliver a new free battery at the doorstep by courier, in exchange of the old one.

      I have booked my complain (Submission of Form for BL 5-C battery replacement) 25 days back after verifying that my battery need to be changed. After 25 days I didn't got battery or even any E-Mail regarding new battery. I hope for your Early reply and more thankful if you change battery (Before it Blast)

      i have booked my complain(submisssion of tje form for BL-5C battery replacement) on 19-08-2007. Even after one month i did'nt get new battery or any information regarding my new battery. my battery number is 0670400363563N357723101026.i HOPE YOUR EARLY REPLY AND WILL BE GRATEfUL TO YOU IF YOU CHANGE BATTERY.
