iPhone in Local Language Interface for Chinese Citizens?
Apple iPhone has already conquered North America and Europe. And now the device is on its way to Asia. Seems China, the biggest Asian country is waiting for the device to come to the country.
China Mobile is already in talks with Apple over the launch of iPhone in its country. But the other leading network operator China Unicom yesterday revealed that currently they are not planning to bring the phone, however they are open for the idea.
Unicom Executive Director Li Zhengmao had this to say on a possible deal with Apple: “Right now, we don’t have any plans to introduce Apple’s iPhones in China. But of course, we’re always willing to discuss a good business opportunity if it presents itself. As for whether we’ll talk about iPhones with Apple, you’ll have to ask Apple.”
Apart from the agreement between Apple and any telecom provider in China, the other problem faced seems to be the language. For the launch of the iPhone in China, the interface of the device would have to be changed into local language.
But up till now neither of the Chinese network providers nor Apple have revealed a launch date of the iPhone in China.
