  I have a Nokia 2118 bought for me at the beginning of the year and have repeatedly asked my daughter when speaking to her on the Nokia ,whether her phone heats up when she's talking to me...in fact a couple of times I have had to hang up because it was too hot against my ear!!! My daughter said it was the first time she had heard of this and I assumed, incorrectly it appears, that I must have imagined my burning ears!!!!!! Where do I go in Auckland to get this sorted?
  Meanwhile I'll try not to use it.

  I don understand if the whole country is mad or just am mad. Firstly, why is that you guys are giving out your precious battery numbers in this website? Do you think techgadgets folks are gonna replace the battery? They have clearly mentioned that you need to check in Nokia website. Also, I read one comment of Sushanta Chowdhury and Shekar complaining that they have not received the battery yet. Sorry but you guys are just worrying.
  
  Secondly, if you need to check the battery status, why don you guys just check in the nokia web link provided in the start of this page?

  My Nokia N70's battery blew up yesterday. I didn't know about the faulty batteries but experience that the battery got very hot when charging. It happened yesterday for the third time and I thought that perhaps it is a faulty charger. I charged it on another Nokia charger and while watching TV heard a small bang and my cell phone dropped to the floor. The battery overheated and blew up. It was red hot. It was then that we search the internet for Nokia batteries and saw the flaw in the BL- 5C batteries.
  Luckily I was not talking on the cell phone at that time. The cell phone is still working after it was put through that temperature.

  i have a BL-5C battery. i complained abaout it around a month back but got no feedback from you till date. i m in constant fear that my battery may blast any minute. i can't charge my phone fully. this even prevents me of making use of the gadget which it is meant for since the battery is always low i can't discuss some important matters on phone which might extend long. please do the needful as soon as possible as am a nokia user for past 6-7 years and want to be the same for many next years. hope a positive and earliest reply from you.

  i have a BL-5C battery. i complained abaout it around a month back but got no feedback from you till date. i m in constant fear that my battery may blast any minute. i can’t charge my phone fully. this even prevents me of making use of the gadget which it is meant for since the battery is always low i can’t discuss some important matters on phone which might extend long. please do the needful as soon as possible as am a nokia user for past 6-7 years and want to be the same for many next years. hope a positive and earliest reply from you.

  Upon checking from Nokia site , it is found that the battery of my mobile is deffective. My Battery No. is 0670400363563N015312802391.I have already sent request for replacement of battery thru Nokia.co.in. I have also sent about 10 messages in past 20 adys thru my mobile. But there is no reply as yet as to when I will receive replacement of my deffective battery. I feel that nokia ia totally insensitive about the entire issue & they breaking their own promise & cheatin the cutomers. I am going to media as also consumer forum & would like to inform them about the ill intent of Nikia. Please help me if you can.

  My Battery No. is 0670400363563N015312802391which is found to be deffective.I have already sent request for replacement of battery thru Nokia.co.in.   I have checked my BL-5C battery No. 0670400363563N242613100514 on 17.08.2007 and the same was registered for replacement and you have also said that the same will be replaced within a short period. But till date I have not received any response from your end. Please look into the matter and take appropriate action in the matter at the earliest.

  i have registered my battery for replacemant long ago the very first day but still i have not at received it and i have for asked for a mail alert if that even is not there as my colleges have already got it who applied after me,in checked with the courier people if they have it but they diont so please look into this matter as i am very upset from this matter and send my battery as soon as possible

  Sir ... I am owning nokia handset with Bl-5c battery which is manufactured in china. Almost from January 2008 I am facing overheating problem while charging the battery. When it was announced by nokia that the batteries can be checked and got replaced, i have sent the my battery number through sms and I got a reply that your battery do not have any problem and can be continued. However subsequently, I found this problem. THE BATTERY No. is 0670400363563 L487720606066. Kindly enlighten me in this regard.
