Man Alters His Finger to Use iPhone More Efficiently

iPhone Finger Whittling

Apple’s iPhone is one of the much hyped devices and it has even made tech-savvy people crazy too. But can anybody be as crazy as altering his finger to improve iPhone agility?

Yes! That’s the true story. A 28-year old American man, Thomas Martel, modified his finger surgically. It is said that his finger was too fat to use the small, delicate touchscreen buttons of the iPone. Thus, Martel got his thumb right just to be compatible with his new iPhone. The new medical technique called whittling was used for his operation.

Martel explained the reason behind his strange decision to undergo the surgery, “From my old Treo, to my Blackberry, to this new iPhone, I had a hard time hitting the right buttons, and I always lost those little styluses…sure, the procedure was expensive, but when I think of all the time I save by being able to use modern handhelds so much faster, I really think the surgery will pay for itself in ten to fifteen years. And what it’s saving me in frustration – that’s priceless. ”

Now Martel’s new thumb appears small and is efficient to use the iPhone or any other touchscreen devices.
