Amex Digital Releases New Phone in Hong Kong

Amex Digital, a Hong Kong-based company has reportedly released its new mobile phone with GPS capability. The new phone has candybar format, and houses GPS antenna inside.

The G-Plus mobile phones offers 3D display. In terms of GPS connectivity, it offer a GPS Viewer, a photo GPS and a LED that works as a GPS indicator.

According to sources, these latest handsets also comes with a tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM with GPRS function, which utilizes WAP/SMS/MMS/STK technologies for communication. It has a memory capacity of 128Mb NOR plus 64Mb of RAM.

Some of the other features of Amex Mobile Phone Are:

  • Dimensions: 114mm x 49.8mm x 17mm
  • A 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and video recording capability (3GP, MP4)
  • A 2.4″ QVGA 262k color TFT LCD display
  • miniSD memory card slot
  • Dual speakers, a microphone
  • 2.5mm phone jack
  • E-map browser
  • User can record videos at 30 frames per second. G-Plus can work continuously for 2.5 hours while talking and up to 200 hours while in stand-by mode.

    Unlike today’s high-end phones this phone does not have touchscreen interface. Instead, users will have to rely on 5 way navigation key for operations. These phones are available in four colors. Information regarding price and availability is not known.
