RIM launches Blackberry 8310 with GPS feature, only in Germany

on Tuesday, Research in Motion (RIM) launched BlackBerry Curve 8310 in Germany without much brouhaha. The 8310 is the upgraded version of the original Curve, which was released earlier.

This upgraded version incorporates a live GPS receiver in the phone. This new update allows users to plot driving routes by downloading map data from a central server.

Besides, the new Blackberry 8310 features:

  • 2-megapixel camera
  • Multi-format audio and video jukebox software
  • MicroSD storage up to 4GB
  • Vodafone, Germany will be the first ones to launch the Blackberry 8310 in titanium-color. Moreover the phone will be preloaded with 1GB microSD card with top 100 tmp3 songs.

    Vodafone is offering the Blackberry 8310 with the 1GB microSD card at 100 euros (around Rs.5,525).

    There was no news about the launch of Blackberry 8310 phone’s launch in other countries.
