Asus launches P526 and M530w PDA Phones in India

On Friday, at an event held at Mumbai, Asus announced its two new PDA phones for the Indian market, which have already been launched a few months in the U.S. The new arrivals include the P526 and the M530w, which run on the Windows Mobile 6 Standard operating system.

The P526 features 2MP camera, Office applications like Internet Explorer, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point (viewer), MSN, Calendar, Organizer, File Manager, Telephone Book, Notebook, InBox, Voice Recognition etc. while the innovative feature of the new phone could be the Remote Presenter. Users can utilize the P526 while presentation as a remote presenter via Bluetooth.

The Call Filter feature filters calls and makes it possible for users to block unnecessary callers. Image editor and Asus Utility Manager are some of the innovative features that Asus P526 includes.

On the other hand, the M530w has full QWERTY keyboard and 2 Mega Pixel supporting Auto-Macro function. built-in 256 MB Flash, 2.4″ TFT, Bluetooth V2.0, messaging options like SMS, MMS 1.2, and Email. It also incorporates Business features like ClearVue Document Reader (Office & PDF), supports BT remote presenter, Business Card Recognition.

Present at the event were Andrew Tsui, Managing Director ASUS India, Benson Lin, General Manager of Asus Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa Business and Edward Wang, Business Head, Mobile Communication Business, Asus India.

“The Asus P526 PDA is a stylish gadget for people on the move and who prefer to remain connected at all times through online communities, instant messengers, blog updates, emails and files transfers. Productivity is also enhanced though built in applications like GPS’, says Edward Wang, Business Head, Mobile Communication Business, ASUS India.

While he explained the M530w by saying, “In today’s day and age, connectivity anytime and anyplace is a vital requirement of all professionals. The M530w is a Smart Phone in the truest sense of the word, because of its varied features for business as well as entertainment on the go!”

The M530w is available in the market at the price of Rs. 16,990, while the P526 will cost Rs. 20,990.

    Amazing phones, earlier I had an ASUS phone which I recently sold after 2 years and this time I am eagerly waiting to own one of these advanced gadgets.
