Nokia wireless charging accessories lined up for the new Lumia range

Nokia Fatboy Pillow

The company has introduced a lineup of Nokia wireless charging accessories along with the Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920. Out of the total of seven, two devices from this list double as a sound system as well, for streaming music.

First up is the company’s wireless charging suite that could be a good option for those who find it tiresome to keep juicing up their handsets the conventional way time and again. The lineup includes the Charging Shell, Charging Plate and Fatboy pillow designed specifically for the above mentioned handsets. All users need to do is place their device on the surface of the charger to get the power flowing. Another option offered is the Charging stand that juices up phones docked into it.

“Nokia, when looking at wireless charging, chose to go with a known industry standard in the Qi interface. This way, those with existing wireless solutions could use them with their compatible Nokia Lumia phone. With this, Nokia has shown that the company is all about partnerships and using compatible solutions. Also, the Nokia wireless solution focuses on efficiency and speed. The Nokia wall chargers, for example, are very efficient, for a fast re-charge for Lumia owners on the go,” commented Jason Harris on Nokia Conversations.

Moving on to the JBL PowerUp wireless charging speaker, the sound system lets users pair up devices via NFC and stream content over Bluetooth. It also poses as a charging station for juicing up the latest Lumia handsets. With the Nokia Accessory application, users can configure it to automatically launch any desired app whenever the phone is placed onto the mentioned speaker system. Lastly, the updated Bluetooth-enabled Luna headset supports NFC and it can be employed as a charging dock too. This gadget will be available dipped in shades of cyan, red, white, yellow and black.

The price and release date for the Nokia wireless charging lineup are likely to surface once the new Lumia devices are ready for launch.
