Logitech Cube tries hard not to look like a mouse

Logitech Cube Mouse

A compact and redesigned peripheral, the Logitech Cube doubles up as a presenter when it is not serving the purpose of a mouse. The company’s exclusive Flow Scroll software allows users to scroll by simply swiping their fingers over the device’s main panel, to render a feel similar to touchscreen phones and tablets.

The lightweight Cube is convenient to carry around as it slides into users’ pockets easily. The intuitive mouse switches to the presenter mode as soon as it is lifted into the air. Embedded with a button towards the top end, it may be used to go on to the next slide. And to go back to the previous slide, users can simply turn the mouse over in their hands and click the button again.

“With its sleek design, the Logitech Cube catches your eye immediately. But it doesn’t stop with distinctive design. The Cube has just the right set of features, whether you’re working through an international flight or making a critical presentation – all in a beautiful tiny package,” expressed Todd Walker, brand manager at Logitech.

Powered by a small lithium-polymer USB-rechargeable battery, this little peripheral is packaged along with the Logitech Unifying receiver. The tiny receiver boasts of the company’s advanced 2.4GHz connectivity and needs to be plugged into a computer’s port. This wireless device allows users to establish connections with up to six compliant gadgets such as number pads, keyboards or an additional mouse sans any USB receiver or cable.

The Logitech Cube release date and price information has already been disclosed by the company. The price tag attached to it reads $69.99 and it will be up for grabs in the U.S. and Europe this month, through the Logitech website. It is up for pre-order on the official web portal.
