Intex declares rise in product price

Intex Logo Intex has declared about 5 percent to 8 percent rise in the price of its IT hardware peripherals, TFT LCD monitors and computers. Some products have already witnessed an increase while others will sport a higher price tag from September 1.

Intex has made its mark in the peripherals segment with varying products such as multimedia speakers, computer UPS, headphones, cabinets, keyboard, mouse and more. Supposedly, the reason behind the price hike revolves around several factors like global increase in major raw material price such as copper, aluminum, steel and plastics. It is also due to increase in shipping freight and price of components.

Vikram Kalia, General Manager- Products (Peripherals & PC), Intex Technologies, commented, “The price rise became inevitable due to the consistent rise in these important cost factors over past few months. In spite of these cost deterrents, we will continue to strive to live up to the expectations of our channel partners and consumers by offering them our ever expanding range of value for money products, supported by attractive deals and reliable after sales service.”

The company plans to unveil new offerings in the consumer electronics market which has been accompanied with marketing strategy. Presently, Intex possesses above 500 service touch points, 29 branches, 3000 plus distributors and more than 12,000 resellers across India.

The company has also started revamping after sales service infrastructure while some other new initiatives taken are Intex Care Partners, implementation of e-service and setting up dedicated call centers.
