ViewSonic designs PJD7382 short throw 3D projector

ViewSonic PJD7382 Classrooms, corporate offices and auditoriums seem to be witnessing an increasing use of projectors. ViewSonic has introduced the PJD7382 short throw projector that claims to provide a lamp life up to 6,000 hours as well as lowered audible noise. It is currently available for pre-order though the definite release date hasn’t been mentioned as yet.

The projector has been designed especially for classroom environs and can be used in eco mode to reduce power consumption. It is offered to users with complimentary Creston RoomView software. It accepts connectivity through Ethernet that allows presenters to supervise, troubleshoot and control it through a single platform solution. The DLP Link technology integrated within the projector delivers 3D images and provides an engaging learning atmosphere.

“The PJD7382 not only offers an ideal teaching and presenting tool, but is also built with total cost of ownership in mind,” affirmed Erik Willey, Product Marketing Manager, ViewSonic. “By providing powerful ultra short-throw technology and 3D capability in a flexible and mobile package, we’re proud to offer a cost-effective and intuitive solution for educators and business audiences alike.”

The throw ratio of the PJD7382 is calculated to be 0.61 which is capable of delivering precise and sharp images of up to 81” sizes from a distance of approximately 39”. The built-in BrilliantColor technology along with the 6-segment DLP color wheel allows for more bight colors. The projector is equipped with advanced features such as 10W audio, microphone input and closed captioning for the hearing impaired.

The device has been attributed with high contrast and brightness ratios which result in presentations of an enhanced quality irrespective of the lighting. It has been attributed with a filter-less design that reduces the device’s maintenance and overall costs. The projector has been fitted with the Kensington security lock port and security bar that secures the content stored in the gadget.

The ViewSonic PJD7382 projector is tagged at $899 (approx. Rs. 42,200).
