Sanyo moves in with portable eneloop power sources

Eneloop Power Sources

The eneloop series of Sanyo has come out with various innovations like the electric hybrid bikes and music boosters. Now, the company has rolled out four new eneloop charging solutions for mobiles and gaming solutions.

The KBC-L2BS eneloop mobile booster supplies power to the Apple iPad and iPhone as well as Sony Ericsson’s Xperia with USB power ports. On the other hand, gamers can charge up their Nintendo DS series gaming consoles with the KBC-DS2AS and KBC-DS3AS eneloop stick booster. A handy power source with USB port dubbed KBC-D1BS eneloop stick booster has also been released.

Equipped with two USB terminals, the KBS-L2BS simultaneously charges up to two devices. Smartphones like the iPhone, portable audio players, portable game consoles, and various other mobile devices can be seamlessly charged while on the go with this latest offering.

The eneloop mobile booster equips lithium-ion battery with USB power ports that renders output current of 1A for about two hours while it provides output power of 500mA when two devices are connected. Users can effectively charge this solution with AC adapter or a USB terminal of a PC.

The KBS-D1BS Handy Power Source with USB Power Port can charge various mobile devices just like the KBS-L2BS, while it comes with micro USB attachment for enhanced usage. The slim stick-like power solution is wrapped with an aluminum body and is about 2cm in diameter while weighing 76g with the batteries. Users can charge mobile devices when on the move since the eneloop stick booster comes with 2 AA-size ‘eneloop’ batteries rechargeable approximately 1,500 times.

Lastly, the stick-like body type and 2 AA-size ‘eneloop’ batteries is further developed for gamers in the KBC-DS2AS and KBC-DS3AS models. The Nintendo DSLite, DSi and DSi LL can be easily charged with these charging variants. The Nintendo products have different charge input conditions from the USB standard of 5V/500mA. These solutions are designed to supply power to DS series of the Nintendo gaming consoles according to the console’s power conditions.

The energy-efficient latest eneloop series’ products are anticipated to be available in Japan beginning October 21. The KBC-L2BS eneloop mobile booster is slated to hit the shelves globally after its release in Japan.
